Specialist Veneer Repair & Fine Finishing in TW10

Stonebridge Fine Finishing was commissioned to carry out a veneer repair in TW10 after a small section of veneer had broken away from a piece of furniture.

Although the damaged area was relatively small, the missing veneer left a noticeable interruption to the surface. With the surrounding veneer still in good condition, the aim was to carry out a careful localised repair rather than replace or refinish the entire piece.

The challenge was to make the new section sit naturally within the existing veneer, matching the colour, grain, tone and finish as closely as possible.

The Damage

A small section of the original veneer had broken away, leaving an exposed area beneath.

Veneer is a thin layer of natural timber, meaning damage can be particularly noticeable where a piece has chipped, lifted or broken away. The exposed section can contrast sharply with the surrounding wood, even when the damaged area itself is relatively small.
